Photo Essay - Mumbai festival 2007 Inauguration

14th Jan 2007 - Mumbai festival inaugurated at Gateway of India. They should have spoken little & increased the timings of performance. Odissi dance performance for famous (?) bollywood songs was good. The "Urban Raga" fusion music was nice to listen. But unfortunately only 2 songs from them. At least they should have played a little longer than the time spent for instruments arrangements. Anyways there were these flexible poles standing before the Gateway. Australian acrobatic troupe "Strange Fruit" with their performance titled "Spheres". Wow they moved in all directions right, left , flying from top to down. They moved for the strange music & the various colours depicted the moods of the play. Here I stop & provide the photos which were taken there at this venue.
