Rs 2.75

Sometimes there comes a confusion by the way things happen in our day to day life. This is not about the debate of God but today something happened which made me to think this over again.

After ditching the trek which I had planned just because of my tiredness from my yesterday's trek I decided to watch the PIXAR animated movie "Ratatouille" after donating some hairs to the nearby Saloon. The movie was scheduled at 11.00 am. After having a hearty breakfast of ghee toasted bread & jam I stepped out of my flat to encounter the Newspaper guy, for the last month's pending due. There went Rs 99 from my pocket. After some waiting in the saloon, first in the lounge then in the hot seat after my host was indulged in continuous interruptions from his mobile phone. There went Rs 35 of my salary.

I reached back home by 10:30 am for a quick bath. By the time I boarded an auto rickshaw for the theater it was 10:45 am. I reached the multiplex mall 5 minutes to 11:00 am. That's the moment I noticed that there were only one 100 rupee note, a 10 rupee note & a 5 rupee note (which I have saved for long time) and some coins left in my wallet. I forgot to retrieve my debt card which I have saved in my other bag because of my previous day's trek. That's when the worry part got over me. What if the movie ticket was priced more than Rs 100. What was the use in rushing so fast from home. Anyways no time to waste any more time I decided to give it a shot.

Paid the rickshaw guy his due of Rs 19 by the following denomination of 1*10 + 1*5 + 2*2 , I rushed to the 3rd floor by running through the escalator & the staircase as the lift wasn't awake so early in the morning. Now I'm in the queue waiting for the guys before me to complete their transaction at the counter. One kind hearted dude from the group informed me that it will take another 10 minutes before they can let me do my transaction. So nice of him, I moved to the other counter & waited for my turn to turn in. Thanks to my queue predecessors I'm in the counter only one question to ask how much is the ticket for Ratatullie and came the answer "Hundred Rupees sir". As the if loop is passed with the true condition there came the next question, is there a ticket available for the movie & the second codition got true to let me into the 4th screen of the theatre which is the furthest from the theatre entrance.

I just don't want to miss the part where the table lamp buries the "I" of PIXAR(See above). I entered the theatre to be disapoointed to watch some animated movie running on screen. By the time I setteled next to the girl in the 'E'th Row 13th seat I realised that the movie on screen wasn't the one I got the ticket for. The usual urge to check with the person next but the shyness factor of taking to a girl over shadowed and I was silently watching the big screen for some surprises. The animated feature went for the next 5 minutes & came the table lamp jumping. Something happened during that time and the girl next to me was replaced by a guy from the E 11 seat. That's when I had the feel that things are going fine.

So while my return walk from the theater to my home with two one rupee coins & three twenty five paise coins in my wallet I was thinking once again in my life how all the series of things happen in a person's life.
